We are currently observing a very high number of requests and automatic retries to the Elspot Prices dataset, many of which appear to originate from Home Assistant installations. As a reminder, Elspot Prices has not been updated since September 2025. Despite this, the dataset continues to receive a significant volume of traffic.

Differentiated rate limits are being introduced on Energi Data Service

To ensure a stable platform and an optimal use of resources, Energi Data Service is introducing differentiated rate limits across our datasets. Rate limits will not prevent productive usage but only limit unneccessary repeated calls returning the same data over and over again.

DataHub technical upgrade: Impact on Energi Data Service datasets in 2026

In 2026, DataHub will undergo a significant technical upgrade that will affect a selected number of datasets on Energi Data Service. The updates will be implemented progressively throughout the year.
Detailed information for each dataset will be announced well in advance (14-30 days prior to the scheduled change) and published both in the list below and on the relevant dataset page. Some datasets will be discontinued and replaced by new ones, while others will continue unchanged.

Do you use Build Report to download Day-Ahead prices?

As the Day-Ahead prices transition to 15-minute MTU on September 30 / October 1, 2025, the prices after September 30 will not be available in Build Report for a period of time. Historical prices in hourly resolution will still be available.
